Launch in a time of Covid

Launch in a time of Covid

So, there we were at New Year looking forward to 2020 and launching Jim's Brick's in a 'couple of months'.  Fast forward a few months and to the greatest health and economic challenge in virtually all of our lifetimes.  We asked ourselves whether we should go ahead.  Yes!  Was the overwhelming response from within.  Natural cleansing is even more important now.

Facing the same hurdles as many in the current situation (home schooling, no childcare, worrying times) we are a bit later launching than we wanted to BUT here we are, finally ready to go.   We may have missed Plastic Free July but here we are in the world's first Unblocktober which seems a very appropriate month to launch in.

We want to play our tiny part in a new green climate positive recovery.   There is a window of opportunity to make a step change in how we live and move closer to the essential Paris Agreement commitments.    Many are urging the government to act now to use economic rescue packages to build low-carbon infrastructure and spur the creation of long term green jobs.   If, like us, you want to read and understand more, see the Committee on Climate Change's latest analysis (Covid-19 can be an historic turning point in tackling the global climate crisis) and Greenpeace's green recovery manifesto for starters.
